Awards & Accreditations

The team at Sutton Housing Society has focused on making changes only for the right reasons / outcomes. To be a IiP finalist is a huge recognition for us; not only to get shortlisted, but also in a record breaking year of applications for these awards. We achieved our silver accreditation during lockdown and outperformed our sector, as well as our peers.

We are extremely proud to be shortlisted again for “Best Older Peoples Landlord” at the UK Housing Awards. As a small housing provider we believe that our more personal approach makes a real difference to our residents.

Sutton Housing Society became recognised as a Living Wage employer in April 2021. This means that not only do we believe in paying our staff appropriately , investing and supporting them but that our immediate supply chain feels the same way and are also paying their staff a living wage as a minimum.

Our staff are our greatest assets; our Investors in People Silver award was achieved in December 2020 and reflects our commitment as a good employer to support, motivate and develop our team, which in turn provides great services to our residents.

In 2020, Sutton Housing Society entered these awards for the first time and saw both submissions shortlisted and ultimately winning the Client of the Year and Outstanding Customer Satisfaction award categories of which we are extremely proud.

We entered one of the awards categories this year and are finalists in the 2021 awards for Outstanding Customer Satisfaction.

We were named finalists in the “Customer Experience” category of the national Housing Heroes Awards 2020 for our all team approach to collective responsibility, our “Be the body…” initiative. We are committed to improving our services to residents, for all staff to go the extra mile and to really make a difference.

We were very pleased to be named as finalists in the “Best Older People’s Landlord” category of the UK HA awards. We are proud of this and for promoting what small, independent housing associations can achieve.

These were the first awards we entered and we were thrilled to win the “Best charity” award, to be commended for the “training” award category and to be finalists in the “Customer Service” award category.

Sutton Housing Society are finalists for the national Housing Heroes awards in the “Team of the Year (Housing Association)” category. This is for our “Be the body…” initiative and the work of the whole staff team with/for residents during the pandemic.
