Worcester Park Housing Society
Building upon his experience gained from being a founding member of the WPHS, Frank wrote to Sutton Old People’s Welfare Committee and with help from Sutton Council Voluntary Service, a small body of local people, he successfully formed Sutton Housing Society in February 1964.
Trickett House
During the organisation’s very first year, plans were drawn up to develop three local sites, which would produce 52 small flats / bedsits. Three years later in 1967, they completed twenty new homes at Trickett House on Brighton Road. This first development was named after the very first Chairman: Harry Trickett.
Based in Sutton, but still growing
The majority of Sutton Housing Society’s stock was built by the organisation throughout Sutton, it is these sites that are now creating the opportunities for new homes through our ambitious airspace development programme.
